Unique bags, made sustainably from Japanese kimono fabrics

Our Products

Kimono and obi repurposed bags

These are our main products: Tote bags of different sizes, shoulder/cross body bags, smart phone/wallet bags, and small pouches, which are made by hand using mainly repurposed kimono & obi fabrics. The bags themselves are new. They are all one-of-a-kind, crafted with heart and individually acquired in Japan. These kimono & obi bags are wonderful to add to your bag collection or use as gifts!

$35 - $100

  • Cloth bags with unique Japanese prints

These are cotton tote bags or shoulder/cross-body bags of various sizes, featuring fun prints of interesting Japanese cultural icons such as sake brewery insignia, sushi, decorative masks, and kanji (Chinese characters). If you love Japan, these are for you!

    $35 - $80

  • Kimono handbags

Beautiful handbags made with silk kimono fabrics, some of which are used but in good condition. In Japan, these bags are usually carried with kimono, but they add style and elegance with western dresses as well. Most of these bags have metal handles that can be stored inside, so they can also be used as clutches. Great for special occasions and parties.

    $40 - $70

  • Beaded bags

These are Japanese vintage beaded bags. Although some may have slight cosmetic blemishes, they look lovely to take to your special occasions. Some of them have elaborate & impressive designs, which you may find rare and particularly attractive. We have some small, beaded bags that are perfect for children, too.

    $40 - $80

  • Obi tapestries

Wall hangings created with colorful, beautiful obi can be wonderful decorations on a plain wall. There are various lengths for these tapestries.

    $100 - $180
